19 democracy hub protesters have been granted bail by the Accra Circuit to the tune of GHc 20,000 with two sureties each.

21 were earlier granted bail on Monday, October 7, at the High Court when their lawyers appealed the decision of the Accra Circuit Court to remand them.

Lawyers of the accused on Tuesday sought to secure a release at the High Court but were met with opposition from the office of the Attorney General which caused the court to adjourn the case to Wednesday.

Their Lawyers however repeated the bail application at the circuit court which was granted by the Judge for 19 of them who were presented as one batch.

Among those released is Ralphael Williams.

This brings to 40, the total number granted bail so far.

Meanwhile, proceedings are underway for another set of 12, whose lawyers are also expected to request for bail.

Bail was, however, denied again to Oliver Barker-Vormawor, a leader of the Democracy Hub group.
