The Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Mohammed Baantima Samba has presented about 418 brand new motorbikes to the eighteen constituencies in the northern region for onward distribution to the party’s Electoral Area Coordinators.
According to Chairman Samba, these motorcycles are meant to facilitate the work of the party across all electoral areas in the region on the 7 December, 2020, general election.
He said that the New Patriotic Party led administration under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has performed creditably well to the admiration of every Ghanaian and that, the citizenry have expressed their appreciation for the work done in the past four years.
However, Chairman Samba noted the party would’ve to take its chances and work hard to secure the second term of the President and win 15 seats to form majority party in the northern region.
He mentioned the existing peace in Dagbon as one of the major achievement of the NPP government in the region. He added the northern region has also received its share of the national development coupled with massive infrastructure facelift in the area.
“We don’t know how to thank the President, especially, the peace alone in the northern region” he indicated.
Chairman Samba further predicted 1.7 million landslide margin between the NPP Nana Akufo-Addo and the NDC John Dramani Mahama when the country goes to the polls in about a week time.
He stated further that Ghanaians have accepted to give their mandate to President Akufo-Addo against the NDC, maintaining that, “It is clear that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on 7 December is going to continue as President of the Republic of Ghana.”
The NPP Chairman seized the opportunity in an interview with THE CUSTODIAN Monday morning (November 30, 2020) to commend efforts of the Regional Campaign Team, the NPP Parliamentary Candidates and their Constituency Campaign Teams and the grassroot of the party for the tireless and sleepless nights of work to ensure victory in the polls.
The Tamale South Constituency Chairman on behalf of the constituency chairmen caucus thanked the Regional Chairman, stating it is the first time all constituencies in the region in an election year would receive support in such magnitude making it very significant to bring victory to the party.
