The 4th edition of the Northern Excellence Awards, NExA, is slated tonight (March 6, 2022) in the northern regional capital, Tamale, at the Global Dream Hotel. NExA is the most prestigious northern Ghana origin awards night.
The awards scheme celebrates outstanding personalities in the academia, politics, civil society groups, philanthropist and traditional leaders who have impacted positively in the socioeconomic wellbeing of individuals and the society.
Executive Director of the Celebrities Charity Development Foundation (CeChaDev), organizers of the premium awards, Mr. Abdul Latif Alhassan, outlined the various categories for the program.

- Pride of the North
- Development Oriented Politician of the year
- Social Change Politician of the year
- Social Change Organization of the year
- Most outstanding politician of the year
- Promising Politician of the year
- Media Personality of the year
- Humanitarian of the year
- Business Executive of the year
Meanwhile, some of the high profile personalities expected to be honored tonight includes: Deputy Chief of Staff, Fawaz Aliu, Hajia Fathia Abdul Aziz, office of the President, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, Deputy Minister for Energy and MP for Karaga, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, Deputy Majority Chief Whip and MP for Tolon, Alhaji Alhassan Sayibu Suhiyini, Tamale North Member of Parliament, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, CEO for Engineers and Planners and Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul Jelil, Businessman and CEO of Might Ghana Limited.
