Disgruntled chiefs from the Agave Traditional Area are set to embark on a protest march on November 24, 2025, to express their displeasure over what they describe as undue interference and mishandling of chieftaincy affairs in the area.
According to an invitation extended to media houses, the chiefs will gather at Dabala at 9:00 a.m., where the walk will begin and proceed to Sogakofe, the endpoint of the demonstration.

The protest is expected to highlight three key concerns:
1. Opposition to the involvement of the Woyome brothers in chieftaincy matters within the Agave Traditional Area.
2. Disapproval of the President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, who the group accuses of mishandling chieftaincy issues affecting the area.
3. Objection to the DCE’s appointment of unrecognised chiefs to represent traditional leaders at the district level.
The Sogakope District Police Commander, John Yao Takpa has given approval and the given instructions on how to conduct the protest.
