President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has is expected in Yendi today Tuesday (October 15, 2024) to pay a courtesy call on the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari II, at the Gbewaa Palace as part a day’s working tour of the Northern Region.
Nana Akufo-Addo will hold a meeting with stakeholders in the Yendi municipality and Executives of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Yendi constituency as part of efforts to rally the party’s base ahead of the impending general elections.
The President will later in the afternoon also travel to Savelugu for a similar courtesy call on the paramount chief of Savelugu, Yoo Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani.
Whilst in Savelugu, Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to commissioned the newly constructed Savelugu Community Centre and cut sod for the construction of a multipurpose Astro turf for the municipality.
According to his itinerary for the working visit, Mr. Akufo-Addo will also engage stakeholders in the northern regional capital, Tamale, before departing back to Accra.
