Former President and a father of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Agyekum Kufuor, has entreated Ghanaians to vote for Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming December polls.
In a message broadcast during the launch of the 2024 NPP manifesto in Takoradi of the Western Region yesterday, the highly exemplary statesman described the flagbearer of the NPP as “the man of the moment.”
Former President Kufuor noted that the entire world is embracing digitalisation, an agenda being spearheaded by the NPP flagbearer.
According to him, Dr Bawumia is the leader needed to help Ghana develop and emerge from its numerous challenges such as cedi depreciation, high inflation among others.
“Bawumia seems cut for the occasion. He has been exposed internationally. He is an international banker and he has studied politics. In fact, he was born into politics.
“We are presenting a custom-made president to Ghana. A candidate that will digitalise the economy and social policy. A candidate that understands the politics and would bring on board a sound relationship, whose call will be Ghana’s best interest internationally.
“So today I wish the conference in Takoradi, God blessings and success. The manifesto our leader and candidate is presenting will be received by all of Ghana in confidence and trust that, Bawumia is the man of the moment, man of destiny and an insightful and humble person,” he said.
The former President who could not be physically present at the launch of the NPP 2024 elections manifesto, wished the governing party well.
