Member of Parliament for Bekwai Ralph Poku-Adusei has embarked on a community engagement and appreciation tour to thank stakeholders and constituents for their overwhelming support and votes during the December 2024 general elections.
Despite his party’s (New Patriotic Party, NPP) loss in the presidential election, Poku-Adusei believes it’s essential to express gratitude to the people who elevated him to be their representative in the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
Tour Highlights
The tour started on Thursday, April 11, 2025, and is scheduled to end on April 26, 2025.
As part of his tour, Mr Poku-Adusei visited various religious bodies, including mosques and churches, and paid courtesy calls on three paramount chiefs, Essumeja, Kokofu, and Asamang.
He is expected to visit the Adankragya, Danyase, Amoaful, and Bekwai paramountcies before the end of the tour. He also visited the Dominase market to fraternize with traders and to thank them for their support.

The Bekwai lawmaker has engaged with local media outlets, including Oyerepa and GH One TV, and is scheduled for interviews on Wontumi Radio and several other local media outlets in his constituency.
Development Initiatives
Poku-Adusei’s initiatives in his constituency, have shown promising results. Among these are the “Clean Bekwai Initiative,” involving the evacuation of three major refuse dumps in Poano, Adjamesu, and Kokofu, which had plagued constituents for decades with its attendant health issues.
The “Water for Life Initiative” is another project of the Bekwai legislator which has seen the construction of four mechanized boreholes and repair of about fifteen others in the constituency through of his 2024 campaign to date.
Ralph Poku-Adusei’s role as deputy ranking member for the Sanitation Committee of Parliament, aligns with his vision for a clean and developed Bekwai.

During the tour, his constituents openly expressed their appreciation of his gesture of coming back to them to say thank you.
They express delight at his appointment as deputy ranking, seeing it as a sign of better things to come. They encourage him to bring development to the constituency and to hold the government accountable.
By the end of the tour, Poku-Adusei aims to have visited all communities and stakeholders, sharing his experiences and activities in Parliament, and calling for collaboration to fulfil his campaign promises.
This effort is expected to unite the constituency behind him, driving development and improving the local economy to make Bekwai self-sufficient.
