The New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress are the two leading political parties in the country, as we have Democrats and Republicans in the United States of America and The Conservatives and the Labour in the United Kingdom.
Both the NDC and NPP have enjoyed political power.
They have and continue to serve, lead, and rule the county at different times.
These two political parties are currently having a similar number of seats in Parliament. The law- making House of our jurisdiction.
Now, with the National Democratic Congress, the members hardly criticize their party and leaders publicly. They do their fight in the conclave.
They don’t wash their dirty and smelling linen in public.
They defend their flag bearer or leaders no matter the degree of their sins.
They protect them and beautifully dress them to the acceptance of the public.
They refuse to batter their party even when all know that there are deep challenges confronting their party,
When they had their Presidential and Parliamentary elections, they had serious problems, which even led to the withdrawal of one of the leading contenders, Dr. Kwabena Duffour, a former Finance Minister in the government of Prof Atta Mills.
He did not resign. He stayed in the party and he is currently helping the party in its quest to dethrone the New Patriotic Party.Solid.
There are many NDC former Ministers who were disappointed in the former President, John Dramani Mahama when he was the President, but rarely will you hear them make uncomplimentary and sordid remarks against him.
They have been able to maintain discipline in their fold.
When their former national vice chair and the wife of their late founder breached the rules of engagements of their party, she was severely sanctioned which led to her departure from the party.
Now, the so-called elitist party, the New Patriotic Party, the party can boast of solid intellectuals and astute business gurus is doing the opposite.
The party I support and cherish.
The so-called leading and founding members ( some)are childishly battering the party in the eyes of right-thinking members of the public.
Virtually insulting the President, his Vice, and his appointees. They go using unprintable words against their party/government.
Some of these leading members have become weapon givers to the opposition to destroy their party.
Most of these persons are those who have benefited from the party, since the inception of the 4th republic.
Jealous, hatred, and lies have become the tools that are using against a government that some of them have even served on.
Sadly, when they were in the government all those words were aliens to them. Today, those who have hugely benefitted from the various juicy positions offered are those who are either resigning from the party or naively and foolishly washing its dirty linen to the glaring public.
Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng resigned from the party and the government. He did that because according to him one of his supporters was hurt during the party’s election to trim the number of the aspirants.
His reason for the resignation was flimsy.
Some political watchers stated that he took that action to save and protect his political relevance in the country since the signs were clear that he was going to be massacred during the 4th November NPP election. This is shameful.
Dr Duffour decided to stay even when his party didn’t treat him fairly.
Professor Kwabena Boateng, another bitter member who has become a tool for laughter. A government in which he wasv a cabinet Minister for 4 years, today, that government consists of friends, family members, and concubines. Amazing.
He never saw the composition of the Government when he was an active member.
It can be concluded that because his appointment had not been renewed, he has become the Judas and he has joined the captains of haters against the President and his Government. Pathetic.
Apart from the two mentioned, other supposedly senior members of the party have become campaign managers for the opposition NDC. It is shameful, disgraceful, and bizarre.
The hatred against their own is unprecedented.
What God has written no man erase.
It was an eyesore to watch Prof Boateng telling the world that he didn’t know whom to vote for come the 2024 election when he knew that his party would be contesting. Childish.
No NDC leading member will state this in the public against his party.
Alan Kyeremateng has now become the chief critic of the party that made him an Ambassador and a cabinet Minister for 11 solid years.
He was unknown in the political landscape, it was the New Patriotic Party that made him both popular and wealthy. as a government appointee through the grace of Presidents Kufour and Nana Addo.
I salute NDC for their smartness and political acumen.
NPP must better learn from their keen opponents, NDC. The envy in NPP is too poisonous and this must be halted with alacrity.
Millions of party members who have worked so hard for the growth of this political tradition till now are not only poor but paupers.But committed to the party.
Those who have enjoyed the cake are rather killing the party.
