The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole District in the Savannah Region, Mr. Abdulai Mahamud, has reportedly been involved in an accident on his way to Tamale for an official assignment.
The Savannah Regional Minister, Salisu Be-Awuribe, confirmed the accident on his Facebook account Tuesday afternoon, December 9, 2025.
The Minister said the accident occurred around Galinzegu, near Sankpagla, in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region, on the Yapei-Tamale Highway.
According to the Minister, the Bole DCE is currently in a stable condition and receiving the necessary attention. He also expressed solidarity with the DCE, stating that they are keeping him in their prayers.
The accident is part of a concerning trend of road accidents on Ghana’s highways, with recent incidents resulting in fatalities and injuries.
