The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the 2020 general elections in the Tamale Central constituency, Dr Ibrahim Anyars has hinted of launching a business support initiative dubbed: “Tamalepreneurship” to support small and medium size traders in the constituency.
He said the business intervention programme will be launched on 3 October, 2020 under the auspices of the Repairer Foundation with an amount of fifty thousand Ghana cedis (50, 000) as seed fund.
Prospective beneficiaries will be given skills training before presenting viable and sustainable business ideas to receive financial support.
The Repairer Foundation is a humanitarian and non-profit making organisation with the passion to support women and the youth by building their capacity, skills discovery and development and awareness creation particularly in the north where is poverty endemic.
In an interview monitored by the CUSTODIAN on North Television (NTV) in Tamale Monday, the NPP Member of Parliament hopeful disclosed a number of policies and programs he will introduced to transform the constituency when elected as the next Member of Parliament come 7 December.
He promised to establish an Early Childhood Development Center in each of the 18 electoral areas in the constituency and also initiate a four lane (North, South, East and West) School Bus System to convey school children daily in order to eliminate or reduced accidents and hazards the school children are exposed to in the metropolis.
This will also reduce the burden on parents and guardians who always incur the cost of transporting their wards to school or had to carry several children on the motorcycle risking their lives and that of the children.
Dr Anyars noted the future of every child is important and therefore emphasised how critical it is to implement the Early Childhood Development initiative to give the best upbringing to children in the Tamale Central Constituency.
The Tamale Central Constituency is currently occupied by the National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini who is not seeking reelection after he announced his intention not to contest the party’s parliamentary elections.
Dr Ibrahim Anyars who doubles as Chief Executive Officer for the flagship Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) urged the Tamale Central electorates to give their mandate to him to chart a new path of development and transformation in the constituency.
