He had reportedly travelled to India to seek for medical intervention but it was not successful.

Dr. Ahmed served as the Sports Minister of Ghana’s fourth republic for a brief period of eight months, starting in June 2015 during the John Mahama administration. He succeeded Mahama Ayariga, who had moved to lead the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation in January 2016.

His clinic not only served the community but also became a center for philanthropic work, demonstrating Dr. Ahmed’s commitment to the betterment of society.

Dr. Mustapha Ahmed, survived by his wife and three children, leaving behind a legacy marked by his dedication to public service, his contributions to healthcare, and his unwavering commitment to community welfare.
