The National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Charles Dwamena, has commended party executives for their invaluable contributions to the party’s financial transformation, revealing that monthly membership dues increased from less than GH¢100 to over GH¢30,000 under the current administration.
The commendation formed part of a nationwide appreciation tour during which Dr Dwamena presented citations to constituency executives in recognition of their commitment and support to the National Treasury between 2022 and 2026.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the National Treasurer and his team visited several constituencies in the Eastern Region as part of the exercise.
The first stop was Bunso (Cocoa College), where executives from Abuakwa North, Abuakwa South and Fanteakwa North received their citations.
The team then moved to the NPP Party Office in Anyinam, where executives from Atiwa East, Atiwa West and Fanteakwa South were honoured for their dedication to the party.
Later in the day, the delegation visited Nkawkaw, where executives from Abirem, Nkawkaw, Mpraeso and Abetifi were recognised for their contributions to the party’s growth.
The final stop was Oda Presby Church, where executives representing Akim Oda, Asene Manso Akroso, Akim Swedru, Achiase and Ofoase Ayirebi received citations of appreciation.
In the citation, Dr Dwamena expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the executives, stating that their support, constructive suggestions, and dedication significantly enhanced the work of the National Treasury.
He noted that their collective efforts helped restore financial discipline, improve transparency and accountability in the party’s financial management, and substantially increase internally generated revenue.
According to Dr. Dwamena, one of the administration’s most significant achievements was increasing monthly membership dues from less than GH¢100 to over GH¢30,000, a milestone he attributed to the commitment and collaboration of party executives across the country.
“You are an integral part of this success story, and I am truly grateful for your support,” he stated in the citation.
He further acknowledged that the executives’ candid opinions and feedback had a meaningful impact on both the Treasury and the party as a whole.
Dr Dwamena concluded by thanking the executives for their hard work, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the New Patriotic Party, expressing confidence that their continued support would further strengthen the party’s financial and organisational base ahead of future political activities.
