The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has officially launched Gazette 360, a nationwide public education campaign designed to increase awareness and understanding of the Ghana Gazette, the official journal of government and legal notices.
At a news conference held at the GPCL Boardroom in Accra, the Managing Director of GPCL, Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq, gave a strong caution to all who engage in faking gazettes to desist from it or face the full rigours of the law. GPCL will come after anyone who engages in the business of fake gazettes and ensure such persons are arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
He also emphasised that Gazette 360 will make the Gazette more accessible to citizens, institutions, and businesses.
The initiative aims to promote transparency, strengthen governance, and ensure that the public understands how to use the Gazette as a trusted legal reference.
The representative from Marry Right Ghana, a partner institution, and AngloGold Ashanti, the campaign sponsor, pledged their support and stressed the importance of broadening civic awareness.
The event also featured the presence of national leaders who have endorsed the campaign, including Professor Baffour Agyemang-Duah, Rev. Dr. Cyril Fayose, Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, and a representative of the National Chief Imam.
Gazette 360 will include community outreach, media education, and digital content to help the public better understand and access the Gazette.
