As a Muslim believer, former Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Karaga constituency, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam is confident that the Almighty Allah will grant the late Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala, Jannatul Firdous (Paradise).
The latter was among seven others occupants including the Defense Minister, Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah who tragically lost their lives in a military helicopter crash on their way to Obuasi in the Ashanti Region last Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The gallant eight as they are now being eulogized by the Ghanaian public were gruesomely killed beyond recognition but their remains were recovered by the national emergency response team and have since been airlifted to South Africa for DNA analysis and identification before their respective interment.

Ahead of his burial together with Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna today Sunday, August 10, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawmaker on a Facebook post eulogized the former Minister and MP for Tamale Central constituency.
He wrote: “To my brilliant brother Muta, your intellect inspired many, your kindness touched many hearts, and your memory will forever be etched in our souls.
”I have no doubt Allah will grant you Jannatul Firdous. Ameen!”

Meanwhile, an Evening of Reflections and Memorial Service was held on Saturday at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra in honor of the fallen heroes.
President John Dramani Mahama in his address urged the nation to channel their sorrow from the recent military helicopter crash into a strengthened resolve for national unity and development.
The President further underscored the importance of focusing on facts and prevention and cautioned the populace against blame game and division.
Mahama also referenced a recent tragic accident that claimed the lives of 15 young church members and highlighted the recurring challenges Ghana faces and the resilience required to overcome them.
