The Parliament candidate hopeful of the New Patriotic Party in the Savelugu Constituency, Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz, has called for unity in the party following the successful and peaceful conduct of last Saturday’s constituency executive elections.
Congratulating the newly elected constituency executives in a statement copied to THE CUSTODIAN, the Presidential Staffer at the Office of the President implored all stakeholders in the party to unite for the future battles ahead of the NPP.
“Let us unite and face the future with pluck. We can reach the skies if we are united, and that is all that I am calling for.
“To those who were not successful in these elections, let me urge you to never lose hope. You may have lost today, just continue with your efforts to see the party succeed and your time will come tomorrow.

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE FROM HAJIA FATAHIYA ABDUL AZIZ TO NEWLY ELECTED CONSTITUENCY EXECUTIVES OF SAVELUGU.
I am using this medium to congratulate all the victors in these keenly contested elections for the various party positions.
You fought like Trojans and success has been your lot to experience as a result.
While you jubilate over the victories chalked, do not lose sight of the fact that the battle ahead is tougher, exacting and challenging as we look forward to breaking the 8 in 2024.
I urge you to celebrate these victories but do so in moderation. The battle ahead is not the one we can win with a divided house. It is time we closed our ranks and forge ahead in unison as that is the only way we can wrestle power our opponents.
It is worth reiterating the point that you may have emerged victorious today, but without those you contested against, success may elude us in 2024. It is for you to invite those who could not win their positions to come onboard to help in prosecuting the agenda of breaking the 8.
