Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA) who is aspiring to lead the Ashanti region branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged the newly elected executives of the Party to find ways of working with all party faithful.
“NPP cannot break the 8-year political cycle if elected party executives practice divide and rule leadership. Let’s rise and build together to make breaking the 8 a reality”, he said.
Chairman Odeneho who is the immediate past chairman of Afigya Kwabre South constituency in a statement to congratulate the newly elected polling and constituency executives also appealed to them to reach out to those who lost and other disgruntled party members.
“As l have said before that 2024 general election is going to be keenly contested. The party will need everyone on board”, he stressed.
COKA who has been constituency chairman for over 20 years asked the rank and file of the Party to see the ongoing internal elections as a family contest especially those in Ashanti region.
“Ashanti region is the heartbeat of the New Patriotic Party. Indeed, it contributes at least 20% of votes to the Party in national elections. It is therefore important that the region gets it right.
“I am confident that at the end of all the elections at all the levels, the best men and women with vision and unity traits will be elected to steer the affairs of the Party for the next 4 years”.
The man who is tipped by political watchers in Ashanti region to unseat the famous chairman Wontumi also appealed to those who lost their positions to take the outcome in good faith and give full support to their counterparts who emerged victorious.
