The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) has completed a nationwide consultation on the 2022-2025 Medium Term National Development Policy Framework.
Director-General of the NDPC Dr Kodjo Esseim Mensah-Abrampa who announced this at a news briefing in Accra yesterday, provided update on work done so far and the various focus areas.
“We have gone through a nationwide consultation. The team has been on the field since January this year working out, getting views from the private sector, district assemblies, and civil society organizations, meeting the various sector and continuous meetings every fortnight to put in place this medium-term development plan.
“With this policy framework, almost every sector is tackled in it and the framework will give you an indication as to the target, the output, what we need to do as activities and the institutions involved,” he added
According to Dr. Mensah-Abrampa, the consultation will inform the country’s development policy decisions as a country in the next three years.
As with previous frameworks, National Development Policy Framework provides a consistent set of policy objectives and strategies to guide the preparation and implementation of medium-term and annual development plans and budgets at sector and district levels.
