The New Patriotic Party has announced plans to convene an extraordinary delegates’ conference in selected constituencies to select their respective Parliamentary Candidates for the 2024 general elections.
In accordance with Article 7(31) of the NPP constitution, the National Council in their last meeting held on August 30, approved the conduct of the elections.
In a statement signed by the General Secretary of the NPP on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua, directed all Regional Executives of the party to take the necessary measures to ensure a successful vetting of the aspirants and the conduct of the delegates’ conference.
According to the letter, the vetting process is expected to take place on Friday, September 8, at all the party regional offices. In addition, the elections are scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2023, at selected venues in the earmarked constituencies.
