The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspected kidnappers and cyber fraud operators in a major intelligence-led operation at Devtraco Estate, Tema Community 25.
The operation led to the rescue of 10 victims and the recovery of several electronic devices.
The suspects, identified as Robinson Endurance and Derrick Glory, were arrested on February 2, 2026, following actionable intelligence on the illegal detention and exploitation of victims for online fraud activities.
According to a situation report from the Okpoi-Gono District Police Command, the operation was conducted on the instructions of the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno.

A joint team from the Special Operations Area (SOA) and the Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters, led by ASP Grace Owusua Gyan, carried out the intelligence-led mission.
“The mission was to rescue kidnapped victims, apprehend the suspects, and disrupt ongoing cyber fraud activities while ensuring the safety of all victims and operatives,” the report stated.
Security operatives stormed the hideout at Devtraco Estate, Tema Community 25, after receiving credible intelligence on the suspects’ activities.
Upon arrival, the team reportedly arrested the two suspects without resistance. “Multiple kidnapped victims were discovered at the scene and safely rescued,” the police noted.
The victims, who had allegedly been forced to engage in cybercrime activities, were immediately secured and placed under police protection.
During the operation, officers retrieved several electronic devices believed to have been used for cyber fraud operations. The exhibits include 19 laptop computers, 20 mobile phones, and two WiFi routers.
Police sources say the devices are undergoing forensic examination to support ongoing investigations and to establish the full scope of the criminal network.
The Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to combating kidnapping, cyber fraud, and organised crime across the country.

Officials say similar intelligence-led operations will continue in other parts of Greater Accra and beyond.
“We remain resolute in protecting citizens and dismantling criminal syndicates that threaten national security,” a police source stated.
Authorities have also appealed to the public to provide credible information to help curb cyber-related crimes.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, while the rescued victims are receiving support.
