Police in Tamale have begun searching for the family of young man identified a 28-year-old Abdul Razak Kamal-Deen, who died at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
He was involved in a motor accident near Yillonayili on the Tamale airport road.
According to a police report, the deceased used unregistered motorbike coming from Savelugu towards Tamale and on reaching a section of the road near the Yillonayili community at the Tamale airport junction, he suddenly made a U-turn without due care.
Consequently, he ran into an Opel Astra Taxi cab with registration number GR 4924 T.
The Regional Crime Officer, Supt Kwabena Otuo Acheampong who confirmed the incident in statement to the media said the deceased had sustained injuries and was rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for treatment on 25 May.
However, the police said the victim died the following morning.
Mr. Otuo Acheampong said efforts are underway to get relatives of the deceased to assist police in investigations.
He added that the damaged accident motorbike and vehicle have been impounded.
