“We know they are here as part of the trials and test of the Almighty Allah upon humanity. Nobody is beyond trials and test. So they’re here momentarily but we are praying to the Almighty Allah to bring about relief and ease their stay here and also make it possible for them to come out to enjoy their full freedom.”

He continued, “Although, we’re outside and they’re inmates, we constantly and continuously think about them and our prayers are with them.”

Upon receiving the items, Superintendent Kennedy Gbandam, the officer in charge of donations at the Tamale Central Prison, commended the Muslim Council for the benevolence on behalf of the Northern Regional Commander of Ghana Prisons Service.

Supt Gbandam said the prison is a potential home for everyone, therefore, admonishing benevolent institutions and the general public to make a constant phenomenon to provide assistance to the inmates.
