At least, nine people are reportedly feared dead in a tragic car crush in Walewale in the North East Region dated Friday, February 14, 2025.

The Custodian Online has learned that 15 persons have also sustained various degrees of injuries and have been conveyed to the Walewale Government Hospital for medical treatment.

Information gathered by this portal suggest that bodies of the deceased persons have since been transported to the Walewale hospital for preservation and subsequent identification by relatives.

Eyewitness account suggests that a sprinter bus which was traveling from Kumasi to Nalerigu collided with a Kia Reno that was traveling from the opposite direction specifically coming from Bolgatanga towards Tamale in the Northern Region.

The cause of the crash is unclear for now but personnel of the Ghana Police Service have immediately commenced investigations into the incident to ascertain the cause of the crash.

Meanwhile, the severity of the crash mangled the sprinter vehicle resulting in the trapping of some passengers.
