The West Mamprusi Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Issahaku Aremeyaw Somo Lucky, has credited the numerous developmental projects in the municipality to the efforts of the Member of Parliament for the area, Hajia Lariba Zuweira Abudu.

He further described the first-term legislator as a woman of substance whom he has worked closely with to address some of the people’s developmental challenges.

“This is a woman of substance that as Chief Executive, I have worked with and you can see that the developmental projects doted across the municipality is through her efforts that all those things have been done” he emphasized.

The MCE while addressing supporters of the governing New Patriotic Party in Walewale during Member of Parliament’s filing of nomination to seek the mandate of the party’s delegates to lead the party in 2024 said: “This is a woman who stands everybody and when you give her the opportunity to continue her mandate, Insha Allah, Walewale constituency will a place everybody will envy to come live.”

“I am here to support her file her nominations and I am happy all of you are out to see her through the process. Indeed, we know that it is God that gives power and we know the Almighty Allah shall give her the power to continue what she is doing for the good people of Walewale” he appealed.

Mr. Basintale also canvass support for the Vice President who is also the 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party to elected as the next President of Ghana to succeed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“Insha Allah, we know it is possible and continuation is also possible. Let us have trust and believe in her and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia” he stated.

Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party opened nominations in constituencies where the party has incumbent Members of Parliament, on Wednesday, December 20, and closed the process last Monday, December 25, 2023, across the country.

Hajia Lariba Abudu first won the NPP primaries in 2019 against the former MP, Dr Sagri Banbangi and two other stalwarts of the party. She subsequently won the seat in the 2020 general elections against a former Northern Regional Minister.

She currently serves in government as the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection having previously served as a deputy Minister of the Ministry under Sarah Adwoa Sarfo as the Minister.
