Manchester City locked horns with Serie A giant, Inter Milan, in the Final of the UEFA Champions League yesterday in Istanbul. It was a great night for Pep Guardiola and his men as they won the game 1-0 to cling their first ever European trophy for the Club.
The game was quite a tough encounter as both teams wasted clear chances, but the breakthrough came in the 68th minute when Spanish Midfielder, Rodrigo slotted home from outside the 18 yard box.
Rodrigo’s goal was all Man City needed to cling their first UEFA Champions League title and ever since then, loads of congratulatory messages has been pouring in for them.
After the game, Pep Guardiola sent a word of caution to the European Kings, Real Madrid, who have won the trophy 14 times. Warning that Real Madrid should stay on their ties because Man City is 13 trophies short of catching up with them. He further stressed that they are coming for Real Madrid.

This must be a funny and friendly threat sent out to Real Madrid for many know how much work it takes to win the most celebrated trophy after the World Cup. City had to go past Real in the Semis to the final of this year’s Champions league campaign.
Pep Guardiola is considered as one of the greatest manager of all time and that’s because of what he has offered and still offering to the beautiful game. Last night was a memorable one for him as his 12 years wait for an European trophy finally came to an end.
