Waste management giant, Zoomlion Ghana Limited has strongly denied allegations linking the company to the use of landguards in its operations.
Monday 7, 2025 edition of the Daily Guide Newspaper published a story, alleging that a property belonging to Turkish investors was destroyed by individuals referred to as “Zoomlion Landguards.”
However, in a statement issued yesterday, the waste management giants, refuted the claims as baseless and damaging to its reputation, stressing that it does not engage in any unlawful activities.
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited does not employ, contract, or engage the services of landguards, nor is it involved in any unlawful or outlawed activities.
“The company operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana and remains committed to ethical business practices,” the statement emphasized.
Management described the allegations as “misleading and unjustifiable,” especially given Zoomlion’s long-standing partnerships with several respected international firms.
“As a private entity that firmly believes in development through collaboration, it is both misleading and unjustifiable for any individual or entity to associate Zoomlion with acts of violence or destruction,” the company stated.
Zoomlion called on individuals or entities with grievances to pursue redress through appropriate legal channels, reaffirming its trust in the rule of law and Ghana’s judicial system.
“We unequivocally deny these allegations. We further advise that any grievances or concerns be addressed through the appropriate legal channels, in accordance with the rule of law,” the statement added.
The company also reassured its stakeholders and the general public of its ongoing commitment to professionalism, accountability, and sustainable development.
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited is a responsible corporate entity that upholds the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability in all its dealings. We urge the general public and our stakeholders to disregard these unfounded allegations,” the statement stressed.
