A CONGOLESE witch doctor has raped his client after she went to his shrine seeking medicine that would help her conceive.
Northern Province Commanding Officer Gloria Mulele said the victim aged 21 and her husband sought the services of Saidi Mulenga, 30.
This was after the couple faced challenges to conceive since they got married.
However, police have reported that Mr Mulenga took advantage of the woman forcing himself on her saying that was the only way she could be helped.
“Brief facts of the matter are that on May 14, 2023 at around 08:00 hours the victim was taken to Saidi Mulenga a Congolese National also a witch doctor by her husband in order to help her conceive as it has been a challenge since the two got married. However, she was advised to be going there for treatment by the said Witch Doctor. Therefore, on May 15, 2023 at around 17:00 hours and May 19,2023 at around 09:00 hours respectively the witch doctor forced himself on her without her consent in the pretext that it’s a way of helping her to conceive,”said Ms Mulele.
Police have since arrested the suspect.
