Mr O. B. Amoah, Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development

Member of Parliament for Akwapim South in the Eastern Region Mr O. B. Amoah has charged a number of communities in the constituency to join the winning team of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and campaign to ensure total victory in the December 7 general election.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo God willingly, he said, will win the presidential elections and so would he emerge victorious in the parliamentary election for the NPP in the constituency.

Mr O. B. Amoah made the appeal when he commissioned water facilities in four communities in the Akwapim South constituency namely Pepawani, Kwame Krom, Adukro and Aburi Amanfo last Friday.

The three other facilities commissioned last week were at Akwansu, Suro Nipa and Towoboase.

Mr O. B Amoah indicated that a set of three projects at Pokrom, Ayim and Comet Estates will follow in the coming days.

Speaking to the constituents in the various communities, the MP who is also a Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development announced that each facility costs about GH¢30,000 and 10 have been constructed, totaling about GH¢300,000.

Impending victory

Mr O. B. Amoah said it is therefore important for all the electorate to join NPP’s winning team to campaign and celebrate the impending victory.

In some of the communities, which have never voted for the NPP, Mr. O.B. Amoah said he may be holding a vigil to ensure they vote for the governing party in national polls.

He stated that he did not understand why during elections members of these communities do not massively vote for the NPP but always divide the votes with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“You should be part of the winning team. You have to support a team that would guarantee victory and make you happy so that when it is time for celebration, you would be able to participate and enjoy yourself and not a team that always loses to its opponents.

“Besides, in elections you need to vote for a party that would bring development and ease the burden of life for you.

“If nothing at all, no parent will be in despair when their child gets to secondary school for lack of money to fund their education because President Akufo-Addo has taken that burden. Today secondary education is free,” Mr O. B. Amoah reminded the electorate.

According to him, President Akufo-Addo was ridiculed by the opposition, which claimed the free secondary education was ‘419’ and yet after the NPP assumed the mantle of governance, it did not take even a year for the free SHS policy to be implemented.

He stated that government has introduced double track to ensure no child who has qualified to attend secondary school would be left behind until more school facilities are constructed to accommodate all students at the secondary level.

Akufo-Addo is God-sent

Mr O. B. Amoah noted that President Akufo-Addo is God-sent and so he should be given four more years to be President of the republic in order to do more for the people.

He warned that if Ghanaians are not careful and vote against the President, then the country would have to return to the drawing table to start on a new path all over again.

“For some people politics is just sitting on radio and shouting and talking plenty and at the end of the day they do not even know what they have told the people.

“Some placed adverts on radio claiming the free education was a lie and would never happen and that anyone who said he would bring free education was a liar. Today former President Mahama is begging to be made president again so he can review the free SHS,” he said.

NPP government under President Akufo-Addo, Mr O.B. Amoah pointed out, has given every Ghanaian something beneficial because in every Ghanaian home there are two or more children who are attending secondary school free or are about to enter secondary school.

He urged the constituents to speak good about President Akufo-Addo and pray for him because his success is the success of the entire country and its people.
