The National NASARA Coordinator for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Abdul Aziz Futa has visited some centres in the just ended mass voter registration exercise, congratulating party agents across the country.
He started his tour from Kasoa in the Central Region followed by Odododiodioo in the greater Accra Region through to Ashaiman, then to Tema Central and ended the tour at the Ayawaso North Constituency where he was joined by the aspiring Member of parliament on the ticket of the NPP, Alhaji Manaf Mohammed Osman Alidu.
The National NASARA Coordinator congratulated NPP coordinators at each of the registration centres he visited for performing thier duty with integrity and alacrity.
” I am very happy about the manner the whole registration exercise has been conducted”, observed Abdul Aziz.
He used the opportunity to mention some of the positive developments that Zongo communities have witnessed from 2017 and within the three and half years of the administration of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The achievements, he listed, included the championing of lasting peace in Dagbon, establishment of Zongo Development Fund and the creation of Inner Cities and Zongo Development Ministry.
The rest are the re-introduction of Arabic Teachers Allowance that has paid to over 3,000 Imams from the Zongo communities since its introduction, 47% of Zongo youth enrolled on the NABCO Programme and 0% of Zongo youth now in School because of the introduction of the Free Senior High School (SHS) education policy.
The energetic and hardworking National NASARA Coordinator also enumerated some projects that have been started by the NPP government in the Zongo communities, including boreholes, Astro Turf and ICT centres,
According to him, these projects were never executed during the 27-year rule by the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who claim to be lovers of Zongo communities than any other group or political party in the country.
He advised Zongo communities to continue adhering to the government’s directives with regards to health and safety protocols aimed at containing the spread of the coronavirus disease.
“It is very important we need to stay alive and vote massively for the NPP to continue the good work”, Abdul Aziz urged.
He was optimistic that, come December 8, 2020, NPP will be celebrating victory across the nation with “In Sha Allah” (The Will of Allah).
The Member of Parliament (MP) hopeful for the Ayawaso North Constituency, Alhaji Manaf took his turn to speak to the media and reiterated the success of the whole voter registration exercise.
“By and large, by my personal assessment and we the NPP as a political party can attest to the success of the exercise,” he indicated.
Alhaji Manaf mentioned job creation, scholarships and education as some of the key areas he will concentrate on when given the chance to represent and serve the good people of the Ayawaso North Constituency.
He called on the people of the Ayawaso North Constituency to come out in their numbers and vote massively for him and President Akufo-Addo on 7th December, 2020.
