“There is no program they invite me and I don’t go, I do effective participation and sometimes when necessary, we even contribute financially to ensure that it becomes successful. And we also mentor a lot of young girls along as an organizations, and currently we are mentoring about 110 girls at University for Development Studies to make sure they become very responsible ladies, because we don’t want the situation when they pass the affirmative action bill and ask where are the women and we are not there. So, we want to build their confidence, build their capacity and expose them to opportunities to prepare for any position that will come in the future” she intimated.
The Development Consultant however commended the Executive Director for Tiyumba Hope Foundation, Ms. Fadila Fuseini for creating such a big platform for the teenagers to learn new things in life.
She stated the Regional Teens Summit has provided a lot of information to the students particularly the issue of teenage pregnancy – the causes and effects, drug abuse and as young persons, the environment is so tempting but they will have to take control over themselves because it’s a personal decision they have to make and this platform has provided that confidence they need.
