Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hattrick upon his return into the first team on Saturday against Tottenham.
This is the first hattrick of Cristiano since he rejoined United this season after 12 years away from Old Trafford.
The 37year old player was absent due to health reasons during Manchester United’s visit to the Etihad Stadium last week where United lost by 4 goals to 1.
Even though United won this game by 3 goals to 2, United weren’t any better than Tottenham. The two goals from Tottenham came from United’s defensive weakness. One goal from Harry Kane through a spot kick and the other from a Maguire own goal.
United are now in 4th place with 50 points and with 29 games played. But Arsenal are 5th place with 48 points and 25 games played.
The Portuguese’s Hattrick now puts him on top of the All time top scorers in World football history with 807 goals from 1100 games.
This performance is a morale booster for Manchester United as they prepare to meet Athletico Madrid in the second tie of the UEFA Champions League this Wednesday at Old Trafford. The first leg ended in a 1:1 draw.
