The Member of Parliament for Karaga in the northern region, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, has presented laptops to various public institutions to enhance their performance in the area.
The lawmaker joined the District Chief Executive of Karaga and his constituents to mark Ghana’s 65th Independence anniversary on Sunday (6 March, 2022).
He seized the occasion to donated 25 laptops to 14 state organizations in the district to enable them effectively and efficiently discharge their functions.
The beneficiary organizations are: Ghana Education Service, Karaga SHS, District Health Insurance office, National Disaster Management Organization, Department of Agriculture, Nations Builders Corp (NABCo), Ghana Health Service, National Service Secretariat, Karaga District Hospital, District Police Command, CHRAJ, the Military Command and Office of the District Chief Executive.
The Deputy Minister for Energy in his speech commended the general public and workers of the decentralized agencies for their contribution and service to the nation over the years.
Dr Amin Adam encouraged the students gathered for the parade to take advantage of the educational policy interventions by the Akufo-Addo government.
“I informed the students that the World was not waiting for anyone who is lazy, but will reward those who take advantage of the facilities provided by the government and their parents to study hard” he emphasized.
The MP further commended the performance of the Karaga Senior High School which saw the school ranked among the top four schools in the northern region and among the top ten in the northern sector.
Similarly, the Karaga District Hospital was adjudged the best performing hospital in the Northern Region last year and the second best this year.
“On this eventful day, we pay tribute to our founding fathers and the generations that have brought us this far, our teachers and medical professionals, the farmers, and all the people of our country. The future holds greater opportunity for our country and we must work harder to fully realize our potential” he stated.
Karaga Water
The lawmaker said feasibility has been completed for the Karaga town water system and gave the assurance to providing permanent solution to the water crisis in the district.
