The Electoral Commission of Ghana has said claims made by Mr. Johnson Aseidu Nketiah, the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress that, the Chairperson of the commission brought a spiritualist to the meeting of the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) is untrue.
The elections management body in a statement on Monday, August 22, 2022, said IPAC meetings are meant to discuss issues relating to Ghana’s Electoral System.
“This is exactly what occurs there. IPAC meetings are attended by Political Parties, Civil Society and Development Partners” the statement emphasized.
The EC further stated vehemently that Mr. Nketiah’s assertion is not true and therefore challenge the NDC Chief Scribe to prove those claims.
“For the information of the General Public this is untrue. It never occurred” the EC added.
