The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) has honored Madam Fatahiya Abdul Aziz as one of the institution’s top 100 alumni Achievers.
The awards instituted by the Alumni Group of the University identified and awarded members for their significant contributions to societal change and the development of the country.
Hajia Fatahiya was recognized for her exceptional character, admirable conduct and strong-willed determination – treasurable values the alumni group considers as a credit to their alma mater and further acknowledged the promising young politician’s numerous excellent achievements.
The group also stated, “You have consistently and impressively distinguished yourself as a GCTU alumnus through your significant contributions to society, business and industry. We are proud of you! You are truly a top achiever!
Madam Fatahiya in 2018 obtained her MSc degree in Supply Chain Management with Coventry University in the United Kingdom, one of the partners of Ghana Communication Technology University.

The Presidential Staffer is passionate about women and youth empowerment and through her influence in government she has been able to secure several employment opportunities and educational scholarship to dozens of the youth in northern region.
As a result of this, organizers of the Northern Excellence Awards (NEA) adjudged her as a Promising Female Politician of Northern Ghana at its 2022 edition.
