The governing New Patriotic Party is determined and not relenting on their efforts to become the first political party in Ghana to go beyond the 8-year governance cycle since 1992.
Therefore, the deputy National Women’s Organizer, Hajia Safia Mohammed has charged the women wing to unite and hard work for the party to win the 2024 general elections.
At a meeting to inaugurate the Amasaman constituency women’s wing in the Greater Accra Region over the weekend, the deputy National Women’s Organizer stated the battle ahead of the NPP is a daunting task and charged the people to work assiduously for the party to retain political power.
“I joined the Greater Accra Regional Executives, Amasaman Constituency Executives and other prominent individuals in our great party at the behest of my Boss, the National Women’s Organizer of NPP, Maa Kate Gyamfua at Amasaman Constituency for the inauguration of their constituency women’s wing in the Greater Accra Region.”
Despite admitting the difficult task ahead, Hajia Safia assured that the party will roll out programs and activities across the country to reenergize the base of the grassroot so as to make the party more attractive to the electorates for the battle.
“I told them that as a party, we must forge ahead toward breaking the 8.”
She also assured requisite logistics and resources will be provided to effectively ran the campaign in order to hand the opposition NDC another electoral defeat for the third consecutive time.
“In as much as its tough, I assured them of its possibility if only we unite our ranks, eschew petty internal scubbles and see the NDC as our only ‘enemy’ to battle in 2024” she maintained.
Commenting on the economic meltdown in Ghana, the NPP deputy Women’s Organizer stated the appreciation of the cedi against the US dollar and other major foreign currencies in recent days is a manifestation that the government efforts to stabilize the Ghanaian economy is gradually paying off.
“And very soon the appreciation will reflect significantly in the day-to-day socio-economic activities of the ordinary Ghanaian” Hajia Safia assured.
