A former General Secretary candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party, Musah Iddrisu Superior, has downplayed rumors announcing his intentions to contest the impending parliamentary primaries in the Mion constituency of the northern region.
“My attention has been drawn to a social media comment suggesting that, l am going to contest the upcoming NPP Parliamentary Primaries to seek the mandate of my dearly loved Mion constituency to contest the 2024 Parliamentary elections.”
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission states vehemently that this is totally false and encouraged the general public to disregard same.
The former Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive added, “I am not only contesting the primaries in my native constituency, but in all constituencies l am eligible to contest.”
“I am constitutionally eligible to contest Klottey Korle, Adenta, Tamale Central, Tamale South, Tamale North, Adenta, Asawasi, Zabzugu and Gushegu constituencies” the 2012 NPP Tamale Central MP hopeful emphasized.
The outspoken NPP stalwart reiterated that, “But it is ABSOLUTELY NO SHOW in this election circle. This simply means, l will not be seeking to go to Parliament in 2025.”
