The Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the Forestry Commission, Musah Iddrisu Superior, has exclusively confirmed to THE CUSTODIAN Online that the time is due for his Parliamentary ambition.
“This means I will be contesting the NPP primaries to elect our 2024 Parliamentary Candidate when our great party formally opens nominations for persons interested to contest.”
The former Metropolitan Chief Executive for Tamale trace his roots to the Mion constituency in the northern region and has therefore declared his intention to run for the NPP incumbent MP, Hon Musah Abdul Aziz Ayaba for Mion seat.
The outspoken Musah Superior formally made the announcement on his official Facebook page on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
The Deputy CEO has also charged members of the New Patriotic Party to get involved in re-energizing the base of the party for the 2024 campaign.
“You can deny or pretend about it; election 2024 will be the toughest for our party. We need the widest and deepest mobilization drive to reposition our party in the most suitable position to win. I have decided to join the mobilization efforts in my beloved Mion constituency” Musah Superior emphasized.
Meanwhile, the governing NPP is yet to agree on particular for both parliamentary and presidential primaries to elect who leads the party into the 2024 general elections.
Some leading personalities in the party have called for an early primaries to enable the NPP sufficient time to conduct reconciliation in the aftermath of the internal elections whereas others have also suggested a late elections.
