The immediate past Afigya Kwabre South constituency chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA), has urged Muslims who have started their one month long fast to use the period to pray for Ghana.
“As you start your sacred month of devotion and commitment to the principles of the holy prophet this month; may your sacrifices and prayers to Allah be answered. Indeed, as you commune with Allah, please remember to pray for God’s favour, unity and divine protection for Ghana”, he stated in an interview with THE CUSTODIAN.
COKA stated that Muslims, Christians and other religious group have lived in peace in Ghana over the years, an enviable credential that has eluded many nations.
“God has been good to Ghana, for this reason I plead with all Muslims to use this Ramadan season to pray for Ghana, pray for the New Patriotic Party that the ever merciful Allah will favour NPP and its government to live up to expectation of the majority of Ghanaians”.
Odeneho observed that fasting and prayers have proven to be physically and spirituality good. “Fasting connects and builds our faith in God. All great prophets in the holy Quran have attested to this”, he added.
COKA who is one of the people leading Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia campaign for President in Ashanti region also urged the Muslims to use the period to pray for the Vice President and his family.
