The Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari II, has urged his subjects particularly those within the Tamale metropolis and it’s adjoining communities to stop crossing over to the Savannah region for hunting purposes.
The Yaa Naa emphasized the importance of respecting the land and resources of neighboring communities in the country.
A statement sighted by THE CUSTODIAN Online emanating from the Chief of Choggu on behalf of the Dagbon King noted that it is essential for all individuals to coexist peacefully and sustainably utilize the natural resources available to them.
“Ndan Yaa-Naa is committed to fostering positive relationships between the people of Savannah region and Dagbong for the betterment of both” the Chief added.
He pointed out that the people of Savannah region have expressed deep concern over an alleged destruction of farms, looting, stealing and killing of domestic animals by illegal group hunters from Tamale.
