Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew scored a hattrick for the Black Stars in the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers against the Central African Republic (CAR) at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi today.

The hattrick is a memorable achievement for the striker as he made his 100th appearance for the national team.

Ghana took the lead in the opening meetings with a penalty taken by Jordan Ayew. CAR equalized minutes later and took the lead before halt time. The Black Stars eqaulised in the 60th minute and by the 70th minute were 2 goals ahead of CAR. CAR scored the 3rd goal in the 90th minute but that was not enough to get score them a point.

Ayew made his first senior appearance for Ghana on 5 September 2010, in a 3–0 2012 AFCON Qualification match win against Swaziland, at the Somhlolo National Stadium in Lobamba, Swaziland.

Jordan was a substitute from the bench in last week’s game to score the winner against Mali in our second group game.

His hattrick gives Ghana its 3rd win in the qualifiers and puts the Black Stars on top of Group I.
