Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Mr Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has led hundreds of residents, party faithful and youth in a massive Keep Fit and Health Walk, an event that not only promoted healthy living but also served as a rallying point for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as it intensifies preparations ahead of the 2028 general election.
The colourful exercise on Saturday, July 4, 2026, which attracted participants from across the municipality, commenced at the Djankrom Astroturf Park and snaked through the principal streets of Nsawam before ending at the NPP Constituency Office, where participants engaged in aerobics and other fitness activities.
The event drew a large number of party executives, polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, communicators, youth groups, and supporters, as well as regional and national executives of the party.

The keep-fit exercise comes at a time when the NPP is seeking to rebuild its grassroots structures and reconnect with supporters following the 2024 general elections.
Across the country, party leaders have been embarking on engagements aimed at restoring confidence within the rank and file while positioning the party for a strong comeback in the next electoral cycle.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd after the health walk, Mr. Annoh-Dompreh said the gathering symbolised unity, resilience and renewed determination among party members.
He urged supporters to put aside their differences, forgive one another and work collectively towards rebuilding the party from the grassroots.
According to him, unity remains the NPP’s greatest strength, and internal divisions only weaken the party’s chances of returning to power. He encouraged members to remain peaceful, avoid unnecessary factionalism, and continue supporting one another in the interest of the party.
The Minority Chief Whip also rallied members behind the NPP’s 2028 presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, expressing confidence that the former Vice President possesses the vision, experience, and leadership qualities needed to lead the party back to government.
He urged members to begin mobilising support in every polling station and electoral area, insisting that victory in 2028 would depend on hard work, discipline and grassroots organisation.
Mr. Annoh-Dompreh further encouraged party communicators, constituency executives and volunteers to intensify voter engagement by explaining the party’s policies and achievements while strengthening relationships with communities across the constituency.
He noted that the journey to recapturing political power begins with sustained engagement and unity at the base.

Mr Annoh-Dompreh reminded party faithful that elections are won through collective sacrifice and commitment rather than individual ambition, urging everyone to place the interest of the NPP above personal considerations.
He expressed optimism that with unity, discipline and effective mobilisation, the party would regain the confidence of the Ghanaian electorate.
Beyond its political significance, the Gangunatan Keep Fit exercise also promoted healthy lifestyles among participants, encouraging regular physical exercise as an important component of community well-being.
