President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

The New Patriotic Party Director of Communications for the Northern Region, Mr. Sayibu Yussif Danjuma has stated the infrastructure achievement of the Akufo-Addo government is unmatched in the region.

He said the NPP led administration has done more road infrastructure coupled with other facilities than the opposition National Democratic Congress in the area.

He noted the government has done about 100km asphaltic overlay works across major streets in Tamale and other parts of the region, the Tamale interchange project, Tamale International Airport among other projects in the area.  

Mr. Danjuma confirmed to THE CUSTODIAN that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to visit the northern region next Monday (August 8, 2022) for a two-day working tour.

He said during the period, the President would inspect the new Presidential lodge complex at the Regional Coordinating Council among other ongoing infrastructure projects doted across the region and a number of the government’s agenda 111 hospital projects.

“On the first day of arrival, the president will proceed to Yendi where he is expected to pay a courtesy call on Yaa-naa at the Gbewa palace and subsequently cut Sod for Eastern Corridor stretch of Dual carriage road in Yendi township and inspect Yendi Sports Stadium. After which the president will then proceed to Saboba to inspect Agenda 111 project” he disclosed.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will address the northern region in a local radio interview with one of the prominent radio stations in Tamale.   

On Tuesday, August 9, Nana Akufo-Addo will travel to the Kpandai to inspect the new administrative block and another ongoing agenda 111 hospital in the district before he would visit the Nanumba North municipality to cut the sod for the eastern corridor dual carriage road at Bimbila and further inspect the one district one factory project in the area.

He will also commission the Bimbila Training College of Education new administrative block.
