The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Amenfi Central Constituency is said to be on fire following the suspension of four key executives for their “anti-party behaviour.”
The main opposition party suspended the four for allegedly working against the party’s interest after parliamentary primary in the constituency.
They are Raphael Andoh Kwaw, Constituency Chairman; Richmond Aleke, Organizer; Grace Kwaw, Women’s Organizer; and Janet Fynn, Deputy Women’s Organizer
A statement issued yesterday by the NDC General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey said the four were suspended following a resolution by the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) on June 5, 2024.
The suspension, according to the statement, takes immediate effect and will last for six months, pending further investigations by the NDC’s National Disciplinary Committee.
It added that the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah, has also been summoned to appear before the party’s Political Committee for questioning.
Meanwhile, to ensure a smooth campaign in the area, a presidential Campaign Task Force, led by Joann Gyan, has been established to handle campaign efforts in Amenfi Central.
The NDC has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding its values and maintaining discipline within the party.
