Atlético Madrid are eager to extend midfielder Thomas Partey’s deal which would see his release clause jump to £92 million.
The Ghana international has been heavily linked with English giants Manchester United and Arsenal in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old midfielder, who has a buy-out clause of £42 million, has current deal that expires in 2023.
But according to report, the Rojiblancos are working to hand him a new contract which will see his release clause rise to £92 million.
The report states Partey is in line to take home an annual pay packet of around £4.1m, a big increase on his current salary.
The new deal could see both Manchester United and Arsenal drop their interests in the midfielder.
Partey has made 24 La Liga appearances so far this season.
He was pivotal in both legs of Atletico’s Champions League win over Liverpool, which secured their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
