Another body has been recovered from the rubble of a collapsed building at Avenor in North Kaneshie in the Greater Accra Region, pushing the death toll to two as emergency teams continue search and rescue operations.
The collapse, which happened on Sunday, June 7, has left the community in shock and uncertainty, with relatives waiting anxiously for news of those still feared trapped.
Authorities confirmed that two victims were pulled out alive and have been transported to Ridge Hospital in Accra for urgent medical care.
The structure, believed to have served both residential and commercial purposes, came down suddenly, sending panic through the densely populated neighbourhood and triggering an immediate emergency response.

Disaster response teams, backed by security and medical personnel, are currently working at the scene to clear the debris and locate any remaining survivors.
Rescue efforts remain ongoing, with officials using both machinery and manual methods while exercising caution due to the unstable rubble.
The cause of the collapse is yet to be determined, as investigations are expected to follow once the rescue operation is complete.
