The New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman aspirant, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, has officially announced the top leadership of his campaign team.
The former Energy Minister has named Henry Quartey, a former Greater Accra Regional Minister and Minister for the Interior as the campaign manager.
He has also selected Chairman of the NPP 2026 Presidential Election Committee and former Member of Parliament for Bekwai in the Ashanti Region, Joe Osei Owusu as Senior Campaign Advisor.
The two stalwarts are expected to lead the charge of Mr. Agyarko’s bid to become the National Chairman of the largest opposition party in the country.
The announcement was made during a high-energy meeting with a massive group of volunteers whose goal is to secure Boakye Agyarko’s chairmanship towards building a formidable party that will propel H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to victory in the 2028 elecóons.
The campaign will be led by two of the party’s most respected and experienced political figures.
Spokesperson to the Boakye Agyarko Campaign, Vincent Frimpong Manu, Esq. in a statement dated April 3, 2026, noted that in selecting these two stalwarts, Mr. Boakye Agyarko has signaled his intent to run a grassroots-centered campaign.
”Both Hon. Osei-Owusu and Hon. Henry Quartey bring to the table an admirable track record of grassroots mobilization, sharp political acumen, and significant national influence.
”Their combined experience in legislative affairs, internal party dynamics, and executive governance provides the Boakye Agyarko Campaign with a formidable strategic advantage” he explained.
According to the campaign spokesperson, the two leaders have expressed their deep conviction in Hon. Boakye Agyarko’s roadmap for the party and emphasized that they fully share his vision to rebuild, restructure, and rebrand the New Patriotic Party for Victory in 2028.
Mr. Manu indicated while the top leadership has been set, a comprehensive list of the full National Campaign Team – comprising of experts in strategy, research, communications, and operations, will be officially inaugurated in due course.
