On Wednesday, September 28, Ghanaian workers at Paulichenda Engineering at Kweikuma in the Western Region were up in arms against one of their Chinese bosses, who attempted to slash the throat of one of them.

According to one of the workers, they had worked for the whole month but were yet to receive their salaries.

“So, we had a meeting and asked our Chinese employer why we have not been paid,” he told Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson on Connect FM‘s Omanbapa morning show.

He said one of them then went to the Chinese boss to find out why the delay since they are frustrated and have families to take care of.

“In the heat of the argument, the Chinese boss pulled a flick knife and slashed the throat of our colleague,” he said.

The victim, Isaac Boateng, a machine operator, incurred deep wounds and was rushed to the Effiankwanta Hospital.

He was treated and later discharged.

The Chinese national, Xue Hue, was on Thursday, September 29 arrested and will be arraigned before court on Friday.
