COVID-19 pandemic claiming thousands of lives

Ghana’s COVID-19 case count has risen to 566. This comes after the Ghana Health Service confirmed more than 100 cases from what it detected as of Saturday, April 11, 2020.

An update by the Ghana Health Service showed that new cases were also reported in the Volta Region, which now becomes the ninth region to confirm a case.

Health authorities blame the increasing number of cases to the ongoing enhanced surveillance exercise.
