The Ghana Immigration Service, GIS, has issued a strong notice of caution to the general public especially applicants who aspire to join the service not to pay any sum of money for any special protocol placement.

Superintendent Michael Amoako-Atta, Head of Public Affairs in a statement copied to THE CUSTODIAN said applicants should be mindful of fraudsters on social media directing them various sums monies and report all such persons to the police for arrest and the necessary sanctions.

He noted the GIS is yet to publish the final list of successful candidates who qualified and partook in the aptitude test stage of the ongoing enlistment and further implored all such applicants to ignore an any message directing them to report for training at the Immigration Service Academy and Training School.

He added the GIS is not also issuing admission letters or conducting medical examination and the public should disregard such purported information.

“The Service would like to assure applicants and the general public that the recruitment process is fair and transparent, giving equal opportunity to all applicants to be considered for placement into the GIS” Supt. Michael Amoako-Atta assured further.
