The Office of the President has named Dr. Eric Nkansah as the new Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES).
His appointment which is an acting one takes immediate effect pending his acceptance within 14 days, a letter from the Presidency said.
It also comes just a day after Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa was shown the exit because his services were no longer needed at the GES.
The later dated today, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 read, pursuant to Section 19 (1), (2), (a) of the Pre-Tertiary Education Act, 2020 (Act 1049), I am pleased to inform you that, the President has appointed you to act as the the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service”.
