Inmates of the Tamale SOS village had a fantastic time on Monday (5 April, 2021) when Founder of the Repairer Foundation who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nations Builders Corps (NABCO), Dr Ibrahim Anyars visited the place to celebrate this year’s Easter festival with them.

Dr Anyars was in the company of his Spouse and Children, as well as some officers of the Repairer Foundation to commemorate the annual ceremony. The children enjoyed good meals and assorted beverages amidst fun games and music.

In a media interview, Dr Ibrahim Anyars said he has built a good relationship with the SOS village for some years now and express his delight to put smiles on the faces of the children.

He said Easter was an opportunity to socialize with the children who have lost the privilege of parental care and workers of the village to show appreciation for accepting this huge burden many people wouldn’t take.

“So it being Easter I thought it was important to show up and socialize with the children and the workers here, just so that we can show appreciation for the work that they do – in terms of the care they provide to mimic real family life for a lot of the children who have lost the privilege of parenting and it is a huge burden for anyone to take on”

The 2020 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament hopeful in the Tamale Central constituency noted that it is time to extend his individual support to an institutional one through his Repairer Foundation to partner with the SOS village in order to identify some of the pressing needs and provide the needed support.

He indicated education is a very critical area to support every child to grow and further pledge to share his personal experience in career development of young people to assist the work of the social center.

Meanwhile, the Programs Director at the SOS Village, Madam Benedicta Pealore commended the NABCO Chief Executive Officer for always being there for the children and the organization.

According to her, Dr Anyars has been consistent person who donates every time to the village, indicating that the sense of belonging makes the children very happy to see him and his family coming around to celebrate with them when he could’ve equally celebrated with his family alone at home.

Easter is a ritual that symbolizes the resurrection of Jesus Christ after he was crucified and it is a significant annual ceremony for many Christians across the world.
